212NYC's Annual Gala Returns

212NYC Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary & Industry Luminaries

In the words of our Master of Ceremonies, former 212NYC Board Member, Nobles Crawford, “We’re Back!”

After a two-year hiatus, over 200 industry luminaries descended on the The William Vale in Brooklyn to reconnect with clients and colleagues. This year’s invite-only event embraced diversity and inclusion while celebrating disruptors who have consistently challenged the status quo throughout their careers.

The evening was the ultimate celebration!  It was a celebration of 20 years of 212NYC and our mission to build a better advertising community.  It was a celebration of the advertising industry and our ability to adapt, evolve, overcome & innovate.  It was a celebration of the lives we’ve lost - the industry leaders, mentors and friends taken too soon.  And it was a celebration of the iindustry's most notable leaders who continue to disrupt the status quo including:

  • Carla Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer, JPMorgan Chase

    • Presented by Sophia Woodhouse, President, 212NYC & Global Client Partner, Twitter

  • David Cohen, Chief Executive Officer, Interactive Advertising Bureau

    • Presented by Amanda Richman, Former 212NYC Thought Leadership Award Honoree and C E O , Mindshare North America

  • Lisa Torres, President, Cultural Quotient, Publicis Media

    • Presented by Arnetta Whiteside, 212 NYC Board Member & SVP , Inclusive Media Research, Strategy & Knowledge Management, Publicis Media Groupe

  • Tiffany R. Warren, Executive Vice President, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, Sony Music Group, Founder & President, ADCOLOR, Board Chair, American Advertising Federation

    • Andy Deaza, Global Creative Strategist, TikTok

Frank Minishak, former 212NYC President and EVP, Global Business Development and Partnerships at Matterkind, accepted 212NYC’s inaugural Legacy Award to a standing ovation, “You bring out the best in so many people,” exclaimed Jay Wollf, 212NYC Vice President and CRO of KERV Interactive who presented the award.

This is literally a party! You guys know how to party! ~ Tiffany Warren, 2022 Thought Leadership Award Honoree

Guests sipped on Game Changer cocktails courtesy of Amazon Ads & Twitch Ads, posed at Ogury’s 360 photo booth and tried their hand at exclusive prizes from Kerv Interactive. With many references to WuTang, the night was a celebration of everything 212NYC and members that grew up with the organization have accomplished throughout the years. Sophia Woodhouse, 212NYC President, reflected on the past 20 years and the future of advertising.

The event was made possible by our signature sponsors Kerv Interactive, Amazon Ads, Twitch Ads, Ogury as well as table sponsors Bloomberg, Google, IAB, Hearst Magazines, Liftoff, LoopMe, Matterkind, Media.net, NBCUniversal, Publicis Groupe, Twitter, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Yelp.
