Please be aware of the following guidelines and commitments to our membership.

Company Function:
The 212 online membership application asks you to select the function of your company. You must classify your company under one of the three function definitions as defined below:

Agency
Organization (third party) acting on behalf of clients for the purpose of buying advertising, buying online marketing programs (ie search), or creating interactive marketing platforms (ie web sites).

Provider: Technology/Services/Platform/Research
Organization that provides technology, services or platform for business to business.

Publisher
Organization that provides original or repurposed content to some interested audience. Revenue is derived via advertising and/or subscription revenue models.

***Please note that Providers and Publishers are required to pay membership dues on an annual basis running from September 1 through August 30***


Communication:

212 members receive periodic emails on events, activities and unique sponsor promotions. We ensure that each of these emails is targeted to the specific interests of interactive advertising professionals in the New York area.  All emails are sent directly by 212 and MITX. We do not sell, rent or release our membership database to anyone at any time.

Events:

We often allow sponsors to conduct drawings, promotions and contests at our events. Any business cards submitted to the approved sponsor for this purpose become the property of the sponsor.  We insist sponsors adhere to privacy standards of the contacts collected. 

Contact Information:

The 212 website enables you to create and maintain a personal profile. Please make sure your correct contact information updated at all times.  Unfortunately, 212 cannot change the contact information in our members' listings.

Request for Removal:

In order to keep our events free or discounted rates for members, we insist participation in our periodic emails. If you no longer wish to stay on the 212 mailing list, please send an email to info@212nyc.org, from the email address listed in your 212 membership listing, with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO 212.  As a result, you will no longer be eligible to attend the networking events or discounted admittance at our educational events.
