The holidays are right around the corner and it’s time for our 5th Annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction. Join us on Thursday, December 9th for a lively evening that features holiday food and drinks, a silent auction and a live DJ! The proceeds from the auction will support the Media Action committee, a scholarship fund created by our event partner, the Advertising Club of NY. The program encourages those of us who work in (and love) the ad business the opportunity to affect the career path of local, diverse high school and college students with guidance, council, and scholarships. The program, now in its fourth year, has begun to make a significant impact helping students who are interested in careers in digital advertising. Visit http://www.theadvertisingclub.org/ for more info. This year 212 is also thrilled to be supporting two additional charities at the event- BreastCancer.org and Soles4Souls. Soles4Souls is the international shoe charity dedicated to providing shoes to those in need, including the more than 300 million children who don’t own a single pair of shoes. The charity has distributed more than 12 million pairs of shoes to 127 different countries around the world. 212 and Soles4Souls is asking for all attendees to bring at least 1 pair of shoes (or a monetary donation) to the event. For every $1 collected, the charity can provide a pair of shoes to someone in need. The shoes collected from our holiday drive will be sent to Haiti which is in desperate need of our help. The Breastcancer.org team is comprised of a passionate group of people committed to making every effort to provide you with balanced, responsible, encouraging, and thorough breast cancer information. 212 will present a donation to the Breastcancer.org organization and we encourage all attendees to do the same.
