| Description: | Sales Manager - East Funny Or Die (New York, NY) Position Overview As a senior sales rep you will be responsible for maximizing Funny or Die’s advertising business in your territory (with exact geography and/or accounts to be determined based on your fit within our Eastern Sales team). In your role you will cultivate and leverage deep contacts at top agencies and their brand advertising clients. You will primarily sell premium interactive campaigns that include IAB standard ad units, video pre rolls, sponsorships, custom site integrations, branded entertainment, and more. You will report to Funny or Die’s head of ad sales and be based out of the company’s Hollywood office. As part of the Eastern Regional team you will be supported by ad traffickers, sales planners, and an inventory manager. To structure and implement campaigns for your clients, you will also work closely with colleagues from Marketing, BD, Product/Dev, Design, Content Production, and the Executive Team. To succeed in your role you will need: • A demonstrated track record of exceeding 7-figure sales quotas • Strong relationships with senior decision makers at relevant agencies and brands (e.g. entertainment, automotive, CPG, telco) • Extensive experience working for entertainment (video preferred) publishers • An entrepreneurial mind set – creative, high urgency, frugal, results oriented, passionate, ability to thrive in an unstructured environment • Strong organizational/project management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Our ideal candidate has: • High energy and a “can do” attitude • 3+ years of online media sales • A college degree • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Company Overview Funny or Die is a fresh comedy brand for the 21st century. Our website, founded in April of 2007 (with help from our partners Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Judd Apatow), is the #1 comedy destination online attracting over 7M unique viewers per month. Our first TV project, “Funny or Die Presents”, debuted on HBO this February and includes 12 half-hours of originally-produced content. Our ~60 employees are mostly split between a Palo Alto office and a Hollywood office. We make money via advertising, branded entertainment, licensing, and production fees.
