Job Description
Assist the Media Director and Media Manager in media planning and buying functions, including preparation of presentation materials, media plans, media schedules and media reports.  Conduct internet research, call media vendors, interpret media kits, use media research databases, and translate the information gathered into spreadsheets and PowerPoint charts.

Produce insertion orders, insertion cancellations and media change requests. Generate production specifications, traffic instructions and due date calendars for media buys. Upload online creative into ad server and implement creative rotations according to plans. Maintain an accurate file of all media materials, including client correspondence, insertion orders, flowchart revisions and budgets.  Track and compile statistics for all media reporting (e.g. online reports including impressions delivered, costs, CPMs, CPCs, and CTRs).

The media coordinator will become well-versed in a full breadth of media channels including traditional media (print, broadcast, out-of-home), interactive media (banners, e-newsletters, blogs, video), direct response media (lists, email) and other non-traditional media (POS, events, sponsorships).  Position reports to the media director.

Required Skills
Applicant should have superior intellectual capacity, quantitative prowess, and a passion for marketing communications.  A go-getter attitude, professional communications skills, digital savvy, and strong attention to detail expected.  Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skill are required.  A bachelor’s degree from a top university is required.  Applicant should have majored in a related area (such as marketing, economics, statistics, advertising or communications) and demonstrate relevant work or internship experience.
